apology.
Journal Entry: Fri May 16, 2008, 12:16 AM
dear scientific community,
I'm sorry to inform you that this year my commitment to documenting the emergence of mature Odonates in the Colleyville, TX area has been broken. the plan to do a daily inventory at selected sites has been neglected due to many personal issues that I have selfishly found more important. apathy, lust, music projects, and work have all absorbed my attention and in the spare time that I've had I've chosen to be depressed, sleep, masturbate to lesbian pornography, alienate my close friends, and/or blankly stare out the window with the hopes of having a heart attack so I don't have to live another day.
my research to date is practically useless due to the fact that samplings have been sporadic at best, ie: four days on, three days off. even so, on days of sampling there were occasions where I did not obtain photographs of the specimens in question and also failed to write down the observations of species I could not identify with the fullest of confidence. such species include but are not limited to: Erythemis vesiculosa (Great Pondhawk), Libellula incesta (Slaty Skimmer) and numerous members of the genus Epitheca. also included is one species that has eluded my identification for the past year and a half.
once again, I apologize to all enthusiasts and researchers who were depending on the data from this year's flight season survey. please forgive me and may the next year be more fruitful shall we all survive.
sincerely,
(my actual signature)
